La Certosa di Belriguardo

The winery

Long owned by the Nannini family, a historic Sienese name, the Certosa di Belriguardo was built in 1348 by Catholic monks who settled in the area and began producing wine in the 16th century AD. In 2006, Gianna Nannini, one of Italy’s greatest rock stars, renowned worldwide, rediscovered her innate passion for wine, took over the family business, and, by recruiting expert and qualified winemakers, ensured that the Certosa di Belriguardo began to be recognized as one of the most interesting wineries in the area. In 2018, following a meeting with Oscar Farinetti, the Certosa became part of the 100 Vini Fine Italian wines distribution network, embarking on a new journey.
